In contrast, FRP grating is made of glass fibers completely encapsulated in resin, and its corrosion resistance is not dependent on the surface coating, but on the resin itself. The material is resistant to acids, alkalis and salt spray for long periods of time, and in many projects can be maintenance-free for more than 10 years.
